Refined design, PDF viewer and the closed roadmap
Tuesday for fixing details: real typography across the site, containers,
Polishing Tuesday. No major new features: typography, containers, pagination and a couple of things that looked off. The kind of day that doesn't show up in demos but decides whether a website looks finished or not.
Real typography and everything in its place
The site already uses Inter and Instrument Serif everywhere, as the design said, and the home hero has lost the overflow. In the same spirit: the desktop header fits in a single line (1200px breakpoint), the <main> of account and newsletters now have the .wrap container, the home sections limit the width to the same container as the top menu, and the home CTA no longer removes the container padding. Before, each block stretched as it pleased.
The most innocent error of the day, on /butlletins on mobile: thirteen pixels of overflow. .sub-form__row without flex-wrap. Thirteen pixels are nothing and everything: they forced horizontal scrolling.
The pagination, with page window and ellipsis: when a list has many pages, it no longer prints thirty numbers in a row. And the .pagination block was duplicated in the CSS; deduplicated along the way.
The 404 that wasn't
The home interviews pointed to /entrevistes/<id>, but the page resolves by slug. Result: 404 guaranteed. The change is small:
const entSlug = d.slug ?? String((d as { id: unknown }).id);
return { href: `/entrevistes/${entSlug}`, /* ... */ };
Slug when there is one, fallback id when there isn't. The home links now arrive.
Tips and articles with PDF in the page
New PdfEmbed component: a native <iframe>, zero client-side JavaScript and no external library. Chrome, Firefox and Safari bring their own PDF viewer; if someone has it disabled, the figcaption keeps the download link. The covers and PDF attachments of tips and articles are read right inside the page.
The roadmap, closed in writing
AGENTS.md and the project summary: the roadmap is closed and everything is ready for the design review session. Phases from 0 to 8 written, atomic and reviewable. Now it's time for the design to pass review with the site running, not with mockups.
Day of fine policing. When the bulk is done, the details show.
